Rustler Owners

Rustler Owners Association members benefit from:

  • Members and yachts list
  • Association burgee
  • Interaction with other members
  • Annual dinner/AGM
  • Regional rallies
  • Helping to raise the general awareness of Rustler yachts
  • Preferential yacht insurance rates and benefits from Admiral Marine Limited

In the past, various marques of Rustler have formed class associations to share information and ideas. This role has now largely been taken over by Rustler Fleet, an electonic magazine run by the owners. Details of this are below.

There is still an active association for Rustler 36, Rustler 42 and Rustler 44 owners that organises sailing and social events, some in conjunction with Rustler Yachts.  With a membership of around 120, from some 150 cruising yachts built, this is an active and enthusiastic association. It provides opportunities for owners to share cruising information, exchange ideas and tips and to learn from each others experiences. Organised events include rallies around the country and an annual dinner combined with AGM. For details of this Association please contact the membership secretary.

A Rustler 31 website is available that contains archive information about the class. It can be found here . A growing number of Rustler 31 owners are active participants on Rustler Fleet.

Rustler Ramblings

Rustler Fleet

From 1995 to 2010 a newsletter called Rustler Ramblings was published. This consisted of an extensive range of cruising stories, sailing anecdotes, cruising logs and technical advice.

The articles in Ramblings are still a valuable resource so a complete set of back-issues for this publication are available here.

With the broad acceptance of online communications, Rustler Ramblings has now been replaced by Rustler Fleet.

All owners, crew and and friends of any Rustler marque are encouraged to subscribe to Rustler Fleet. This is a lively discussion group which allows members to exchange ideas, offer advice and solutions to problems, discuss association business and arrange events.

Membership is by invitation only. To join you can email the organiser here, or get an existing member or Rustler Yachts to invite you to join.

There is no fee. We ask only for your input.

As new classes emerge, particularly the Rustler 24 and Rustler 33 marques which may have a greater focus on racing, there may well be a need to develop other Associations to manage such aspects as class measurement rules. Rustler Fleet is the place where such a need will emerge, and can be facilitated.
